CitiHope partnered with The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation, Medical Missions International and Celebration Health to support the revitalization of Zimbabwe’s healthcare delivery system by providing critically needed medicines to public hospitals and clinics, following a massive cholera outbreak in 2008.
Partnerships with The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation and Celebration Health, allowed CitiHope to continue to procure, deliver, and distribute targeted essential pharmaceuticals to hospitals throughout Zimbabwe.

In 2009, Zimbabwe faced a unique set of challenges.

Due to its political situation and collapse of its public health system, Zimbabwe was leaving their country with an extremely low ability to provide the level of care needed for a country with great needs. With government funding near 0% for healthcare, shortages and frequent stock-outs of essential medicines and medical supplies needed to treat conditions and diseases are commonplace.

Despite these challenges, CitiHope is committed to bringing life-giving and life-saving medical relief to the people of Zimbabwe in partnership with The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation and local Coca-Cola bottlers and business units. CitiHope’s solid relationship with the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health through a partnership with Celebration Health, looks forward to renewed partnership to improve healthcare for the Zimbabwean people.
