CitiHope begins working in Ethiopia with the Coca-Cola Africa Foundation/CitiHope Medical Relief Initiative.
CitiHope establishes a formal partnership with The Coca-Cola Company and FIDO (Fayaa Integrated Development Organization).
First CitiHope shipment of medications arrive in Ethiopia.
CitiHope partners with FIDO (Fayyaa Integrated Development Organization) to implement a USAID IFRP (International Food Relief Partnership) program to over 10,000 pregnant women, lactating mothers, orphans, and vulnerable children in food-insecure regions of southern Ethiopia.

Ethiopia faces continued humanitarian challenges and food insecurity in drought-prone areas of the country, including the Oromia region.

Nutrition statistics indicate a major impact on the health of women, infants, and children, with 44% of children under age five being moderately or severely stunted, and 29% of women experiencing malnutrition. Currently, CitiHope is implementing a USAID International Food Relief Partnership (IFRP) program in Ethiopia, which will deliver 112.56 metric tons of food to 31, 266 vulnerable children, pregnant women, and nursing mothers in the Oromia region. For six months, this source of supplemental nutrition will make a huge impact on the region.
